Yes, one of the advantages of a road trip with plenty of wild camping opportunities is the flexibility it offers. You can travel at your own pace and choose where to spend the night. If you have booked a hotel stay in Nizwa (day 4) or activities in the desert (days 5 and 6), you simply need to keep those dates in mind and make sure you are there on time.
If you would like to extend your stay in Oman before or after the road trip, there are several great activities to enjoy around Muscat, such as an excursion to the Daymaniyat Islands. In that case, you can easily book one or more additional nights at the Royal Tulip Hotel in Muscat.

Yes, absolutely! Oman is a very safe country, even though it is located in a generally complex region. The geopolitical situation in the Middle East has no impact on Oman. The only potential uncertainty concerns the possible closure of airspace for flights with stopovers in Dubai or Doha, but the good news is that we offer direct flights from Paris and Amsterdam, ensuring your travel won’t be affected.
On site, Oman is among the top 5 countries with the lowest crime rate. The locals are very welcoming and respectful, as long as you respect their customs.
Finally, it is perfectly safe to travel as a woman. In recent seasons, we have hosted many all-female groups, and we have never received any negative feedback regarding safety.
